This page describes how to set preferences as default values for pipelines. You will learn how to set preference values at different levels in the hierarchy.
Cloud Data Fusion has 3 There are three levels of preferences:
System
Namespace (multiple namespaces only applicable in Enterprise edition)
Pipeline
Preferences have precedence, and it will resolve the lower level first before going up. For instance, if you set a preference with the key file.path on Namespace level with the value “A”, and set a preference with the same key file.path on the System level with the value “B”, the pipeline will run using the preference from the Namespace level (value “A”). The precedence level is Pipeline > Namespace > System.
Setting Instance Level Preferences
Click on SYSTEM ADMIN System Admin on the navigation bar.
Click on Configuration.
Click on System Preferences to expand the section.
Click on Edit System Preferences.
Click on the + button to add a new preference.
Click Save & Close.

Click the Namespace dropdowndrop-down.
Click on the wrench icon.
Click on the + button to add a new preference.
Click Save & Close.

Click on the hamburger button on the navigation bar.
Click the Namespace dropdowndrop-down.
Click on the active namespace.
Click on Edit, next to the Preferences section.
Click on the + button to add a new preference.
Click Save & Close.

Go to Pipeline detail page.
Click on the dropdown next to the Run button.
Click on the + button to add a new preference.
Click Save.
